Thoughts from Husband| February

I was so excited when I saw Betsy's link upThis is such a great way for you all to get to know my favorite person! You get to read my thoughts around this place all the time but today you get to read the thoughts of my best friend... the one who holds me on days when faith is hard to come by and the one who makes me on the most mundane days. So meet my HUSBAND!

Introduce yourself:
Hi. My name is Joel, servant of God and Brandy’s husband.
(And a super handsome man in uniform, if I might add.)

1. Have you ever had a blog, or have you ever considered starting one?

I’ve never had a blog. I have considered starting one but I’m not sure if I have the time to do it. When not at work or doing ministry stuff, I’m busy being Super Husband and taking classes online to be a missionary/pastor. (Okay maybe I added the Super Husband part.)

(The story behind this photo is quite hilarious.)

2. If you could be a member of any band, which one would it be?

I would be a part of the Passion Band.
(Husband plays violin which makes this acoustic-worship-music-loving girl quite giddy.)

3. Valentine's day is on the horizon...are you the date-planner type or do you fly by the seat of your pants?  Do you have anything planned for February 14 this year?

I don’t usually plan. I’m not a planner like Wifey… but sometimes for certain things I plan. I don’t have anything planned at the moment but I do have a couple ideas.

4. Tell us about a date-night-gone-wrong for you and your wifey.

I’ve never had one of those. (I might have chuckled a little bit...or a lot.)
(After consulting me about my giggling… he decides he forgot one…)

Wifey and I went on a date night to find her a dress for our Military Awards Banquet. We were trying to decide where to eat for dinner. Wifey really wanted to go to Chipotle… like always. And I wanted something different. So I suggested we go to a Chinese Buffet. She really didn’t like this idea but she decided to compromise and agreed to go there. So we walked in and we got our plates and went to get our meals. The pickins where pretty shady looking and didn’t taste much better. Wifey only took 3 bites and gave up. I ate about half my plate and couldn’t stand it any longer. The waitress kept coming by but didn’t think we were finished yet. We got our check and it was $30. I had thought the buffet was only $7/person but apparently that was only for lunch. We could have had Texas Roadhouse for $30. Wifey never lets me live it town. Every time we pass there, I ask her if she wants to have $30 rice.

5. and let's cover all the topics…sports...how do you feel about the outcome of the SuperBowl?

I think it was a very well played game by both teams. Of course I'm glad the Patirots won because that's my team. I think they earned it. They played another awesome football team and they won. It was well deserved. I was pretty nervous at the end of the game that the Seahawks were going to score. I was very impressed by the rookie Butlers interception and I'm glad that they stayed with it and kept fighting til the end.
(Truth is he was crazy stressed before that interception. Watching anything on TV with Joel is hilarious because of his constant commentary but this was one of my favorites. HA.)

I hope you've enjoyed the Guy Behind the Blog! Head on over to Heavens to Betsy to read other interviews! We'll be back next month... same guy, new questions. :)
